The Moderator Chapter 12Chapter twelve (Just to clear this up, in chapter ten, I introduced a country which I called Ara. I screwed up, the country is Aku. Dema's capital is Ara. Sorry about that.) They didn't bring very much with them when they left. All that they carried was enough food and horse feed for two days and their finest clothes (For obvious reasons, none of them were dressed well when they left). The day broke calmly and sweetly.
The common people began to wake and enter the streets. The children were first, no doubt kicked out of the house so that their parents and elder siblings could sleep. Soon, they formed groups and began to play simple games. The people who owned the shops most popular during yesterday's festival came next. They checked around their stores, making sure that everything was clear for when the adults left home. Smoke began to curl up from the chimneys, signaling that fires had been started and breakfast was on. The children went back inside, knowing that they would soon be fed.

(I'm sorry, this scene wanted to be really long. It was originally a spontaneous idea that was going to be about a page, but it became cancerous and consumed an entire chapter length, and I know I need more space to make the next part.
